Pulling On My Heart-strings

As a first time exotic bird owner, I had recently just purchased a Grey Pearl Cockatiel, and then went back a few days later to purchase another as a companion to the first; that's when I met Jack, a 4 month old sun conure, full of life, who pulled on my every heart-string.

At the time, I told myself I was just being silly about all of this, so I went ahead and purchased the second Cockatiel, a Lutino, only to find myself going back the very next day and exchanging both Cockatiels for Jack.

This was not an easy decision to make, because I had already become attached to the Grey Pearl Cockatiel, but it was the right decision to make, because I could see living out possibly the next 25 years of my life with Jack as a companion, and although not considered to be the best choice for a first time exotic bird owner...after seeing Jack...what other choice was there?!

I never imagined myself owning an exotic, but now that I do, having Jack brings such blessings of happiness into my life.
